Mr. Dong Weizhu, Company Chairman, Was Elected As Vice President of the Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce

On the afternoon of March 28, 2013, the Third Meeting of Members of the Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Merchants Federation and the First Meeting of the Third Council were held in Nanjing. The meeting adopted the work report of the second council of the Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Merchants Federation, elected the third council of the Federation. Mr. Dong Weizhu, chairman of the company, CPPCC member of Taizhou, and vice president of the Taizhou Overseas Chinese Chamber of Commerce, was elected as vice president of the Federation.

Wang Yongle, member of the standing committee of CPPCC, and vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese addressed the meeting on behalf of the Federation. He fully affirmed the outstanding contributions made by the great number of overseas Chinese merchants to China’s reform and opening up and modernization, expressed his hopes for the newly-elected council, and encouraged more extensive support and participation of overseas Chinese capital and overseas Chinese wisdom in China’s economic and social development. Fu Ziying, vice governor of Jiangsu Province spoke at the meeting on behalf of the provincial government. He required the relevant provincial departments to further enhance service awareness, care for and support the work of the Jiangsu Overseas Chinese Merchants Federation, support the development of overseas Chinese merchants’ enterprises, effectively solve their problems, and strive to create a favorable environment for the development overseas Chinese merchants’ enterprises.
