On the morning of September 28, 2013, a unique security defense drill was carried out at the company’s Angolan headquarters.
The drill was presided over by Mr. Dong Weizhu, chairman of our company, and participated in by: all management staff members, workers and security guards in the company headquarters and base, and police commander, Mr. Flavio, and several officers from the police station who are responsible for the place where the company’s headquarters are located.
Before the drill, Chairman Dong delivered an important speech to all drill participants; Marketing Manager Tang Xiaoshu translated and read the newly formulated “Security Work Regulations” on the spot. Personnel from the General Department also accordingly notified Chinese employees about the regulations.
The security defense drill focused on the on-site simulation and practice exercises regarding security work procedures for outbound vehicles and personnel and visits by strangers. It standardized daily security work procedures, strengthened cooperation between Chinese security guards, Angolan security guards, and the Angolan police, and reduced the likelihood of the company suffering from invasive threats.
After the successful conclusion of the drill, Chairman Dong expressed his thanks to all police officers for participating in the drill. Police commander Flavio also expressed his willingness to continue supporting our company’s security defense work. Inaddition to the police stationed at our company, the frequency of police patrol in our company’s neighborhood will also be increased.
The security defense drill achieved the desired effect. It firmly rooted the security regulations in the minds of the employees, enhanced the employees’ confidence in the company’s security work, and furthermore, it improved employee morale.
