Secretary Lan Shaomin and Other Leaders Investigate and Study the Waterfront Town, One of Our Company’s Resettlement Projects

On November 20, 2014, Lan Shaomin, Secretary of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee; Mayor Lu Zhipeng; CPPCC Chairman Wang Shoufa; Deputy Secretary of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee Yang Feng and other leaders conducted an in-depth investigation and study of the Waterfront Town, one of our company’s resettlement projects. It has a total construction area of 480,000 square meters, a total investment of 1.8 billion yuan, 2,424 units of various house types, and public service facilities, such as neighborhood centers, farmers’ markets, kindergartens, clubs, and community buildings.

Secretary Lan and his party, accompanied by Chairman Dong and other company leaders, conducted a field inspection of the sizes and functions of the resettlement project’s various construction sites. Chairman Dong gave a detailed introduction to the Waterfront Town project’s design concept and reported on its construction progress. In his report, Chairman Dong mentioned that in terms of design, in order to build the Waterfront Town into a noble, livable residential community, we invited the Institute of Shanghai Architectural Design and Research, a core member of the Fortune 500 companies with “double Grade A” qualifications, to design the Town. We hoped to create a natural, comfortable, elegant park-like living environment with high standards, high quality, and fashion. In terms of construction, in order to build Waterfront Town into a model Taizhou resettlement district, we adhered to the principles of pursuing excellence and using only well-known, top-tier domestic brand products for building materials and furniture. During the construction process, we always consider project management to be the most important element of our work. In addition to having professional supervision units with Grade-A qualifications supervise the project, we established a Supervision Group comprised of representatives of the relocated households. This allowed the residents to participate in supervising the project’s quality throughout the process. The project has wona number of honorary titles, such as “Taizhou Quality Structure Project,”“Taizhou Civilization Site,” and “Jiangsu Civilization Site.”

During the inspection, Secretary Lan talked cordially with Chairman Dong and further stressed that “resettlement is the basic work of urban construction as well as a public interest project. Therefore, it must be done well in order to satisfy the people.” Finally, Secretary Lan spoke highly of the Waterfront Town project due to its “high quality, complete facilities, and good infrastructure.”
